Combination is the secret weapon of the filter user in the know. It is grad filter with a different colour at each end of the filter and although this can be any combination of colours, it will most usually be an ND and a warm up.

Filters where one colour covers the entire filter and another is overdyed at one end are termed a ¡¥with¡¦ combination ¡V separate colours at each end are denoted as ¡¥to¡¦ combinations.

The filter consists of two separate colours, a warm up and a neutral density, at either end of the filter.
